Obituary of Ranio A. Colamaio

a resident of the Oneida Health Care Center Extended Care Facility since July 20th 2006, died Saturday morning December 1, 2007 in the Oneida Healthcare Center where he had been a medical patient for one day. Ray was born on May 6, 1920 in Oneida, the son of Marcello and Angelina Infate Colamaio. He attended Oneida Schools Ray proudly served in the US Army, in the Pacific Theatre, from 1942-1945 during World War II, and was honorably discharged and awarded the Purple Heart. He married Magdalena Radnoti on June 30, 1956 in St. Patrick's Church Oneida Ray was a machinist, employed by Oneida Furniture Co. from 1974 to 1982. He had been previously employed by the Smith Lee Co. of Oneida and Oneida Ltd. Silversmiths. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Oneida and was a life member of the DAV Stars and Stripes Chapter #82 Survived is his wife: Magdalena also a resident of the Extended Care Facility, one sister; Antoinette Stocco of Utica, two nieces and their husbands; Deanna & Robert Tracy of Schenectady, Mary Anne and Brad Beamsdorfer of Stroudsburg, PA and a nephew and his wife; Joseph and Glenda Stocco of Liverpool. Funeral Services will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday December 4, 2007 from the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc. and 12 noon from St. Patrick's Church where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. David J. Orzel. Interment will be made in St. Patrick's Cemetery Oneida. Friends are invited and may call from 10:30 to 11:30 AM Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home 342 Main Street Oneida.
