Obituary of MarjoryLynn K Allen

MarjoryLynn Allen (Kerr), 67, of Vernon Center, NY, passed away on November 8, 2021, in the Abraham House Rome following a brief journey with Cancer. Marge was born on November 11, 1953, in Bellows Falls, VT, the daughter of Edward Henry Kerr Sr and Eleanor (Gordon Kerr) Marge graduated high school in Bellows Falls, VT, where she resided and raised her family while caring for others with her nursing degree. In 1998, Marge ventured out to a life on the road after obtaining her CDL with her husband, Nelson Allen Sr. After several years on the road, she went back to nursing and purchased a home in Vernon Center, NY. Marge enjoyed time with her family, her patients, the open road on her bike, and above all her fur babies. She ran a group to advocate, support and rescue animals in all stages of needs, in times that meant she could have upwards of a dozen in her care at any given time. She had a heart that knew no limits when it came to rescuing animals in need. Marge is survived by her half-brother, Joseph Kerr of CA, stepbrother, Carroll Simonds, of VT and sister, Tamara A Howard of New Jersey; her children, Heather Wickham and her husband, Nick, of NY, Karla Hill and her husband, Daniel, of VT, John Jones Jr and his wife, Bonnie, of VT, Kelly Jones and her husband, Randy, of VT, Shelly Jones (Stariknok) and her husband, Steve, of VT; fifteen grandchildren; and several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews along with her husband, Nelson Allen Sr. She is predeceased by both parents, stepmother Alice (Bingham) Kerr, brother Edward H Kerr Jr, stepbrother, Earl Simonds, and stepsister Earline (Simonds) French.
