Obituary of Wesley R. Rowe

Canastota---Wesley R. Rowe, 69, of Lake Road, Canastota, died Thursday evening, October 28, 2021, in Oneida Health Hospital where he had been a resident for the last three days. Wesley was born on February 29, 1952, in Oneida the son of William J. and Irene M. Butler Rowe. A lifelong resident of Oneida he was a graduate of Oneida High School class of 1970. On February 16, 1979, he married Maureen Noto in Wampsville. Wesley was employed as a truck driver for over 30 years with the Madison County Highway department in Wampsville, retiring in 2002. He proudly served his country with the US Army and was honorably discharged on December 16, 1974. Wesley loved to travel with his family and friends and was very talented when it came to building things. Surviving is his loving wife, Maureen; his father, William, of Oneida; three daughters, Carrie (Paul) Ward, of Oneida, Kristen Mclean, of Peoria, AZ and Jonna (Eric) Brown, of Cazenovia; three brothers, Eric Rowe, of Fulton, William (Susan) Rowe, of Sherrill and Alex (Charlene) Rowe, of Oneida; one sister; Faith Morgan, of Chittenango; six grandchildren, Colton Mclean, Aubrey (Lori) Ambrosio, Kiersee Mclean, Nathan Brown, Addison Mclean and Michael Brown; and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his mother, Irene, on December 15, 1991, and his sister-in-law, Kathleen on December 2, 2009. There will be no services. In his memory contributions may be made to either Wanderer’s Rest Humane Assn, P.O. Box 535 Canastota, NY 13032 or the Wampsville Fire Department 118 N. Court St. Wampsville, NY 13163. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ironside Funeral home, Inc. 342 Main Street, Oneida, NY, 13421.
