Obituary of Marilyn G Roberts

Marilyn G. Roberts, 76, of Clinton, formerly of Durhamville, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at the Abraham House in Rome. She was born on September 5, 1944, in Oneida, the daughter of Harold and Martha Gilbert Grimm. Marilyn was a graduate of Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School, class of 1962. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in art from Rochester Institute of Technology. Marilyn was the owner and operator of Marilyn’s Decorating in Liverpool and later in Durhamville for many years. She loved arts, crafts, and ceramics. She was a participant in the Lutheran Home ActiveDay Adult Day Program. Surviving are her children, James Roberts, of Vernon, and David Roberts, of FL; a sister, Elizabeth “Betty Jo” Browell, of Durhamville; a brother, Gilbert F. Grimm, of Munnsville; three grandchildren, Jessup, Dorothy, and Tiana; and many nieces and nephews. Marilyn was predeceased by a brother, Harold “Happy” Grimm in 1983; a sister-in-law, Janet L. Grimm on March 7, 2004; and the father of her children, Thomas Roberts in 2008. Graveside services will be held in the spring in Grove Cemetery in Durhamville at the convenience of the family.
