Barbara A. Levitt, 78, of 5001 Hill Road, Oneida, died Saturday morning, July 6, 2019, at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford after suffering a stroke the day before.
Barbara was born on June 16, 1941, in Oneida, the daughter of Raymond and Bertha Eastman Hoffman. A lifelong resident of Oneida, she was a graduate of Oneida High School.
She was employed as a waitress in Oneida for many years at many of the area restaurants with her last employment being at the former Coneheads on Lenox Avenue in Oneida.
On Valentine’s day in 1990, she married Paul S. Levitt in Oneida.
Surviving besides her husband, Paul; are a daughter, Janice Stich (Barry Holden), of Oneonta, two sons, Steve (Cathy) Stich, of Scotia, and Frank (Lynn) Stich, of Palenville; five grandchildren, Leigh, Daniel, David, Norah, and Vanessa; two great-grandchildren, Anthony and Cooper; one sister, Joyce M. Carinci, of Oneida, and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Raymond Hoffman Jr. and a brother-in-law, Army N. Carinci.
Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Memorial Contributions may be made to Mohawk Valley Health System Foundation, 1656 Champlain Ave., Utica, NY, 13502. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc., 342 Main Street, Oneida.
