Utica—Wayne LeRoy Lints, 66, of 1208 Schuyler St., passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford after being stricken at home.
He was born on May 28, 1952, in Oneida, the son of Edward G. and Georgia E. Twiss Lints. He attended Stockbridge Central Schools and received his GED.
He proudly served his country as a member of the Untied States Army serving from 1972-1973.
Wayne was a former member of the Canastota Saints Marching Band. He enjoyed drawing and woodworking. Wayne was always kind and generous to his neighbors and friends.
Surviving are his children, Wayne L. (Jessica) Lints, II, of Taberg, and Valerie Lints (companion, Jason Hatcher), of Oneida; three siblings, Keith (Andrea) Lints, of Schenectady, Shannon (Carolyn) Lints, of Oneida, and Brenda (Kenneth) Polisse, of Canastota; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sadie, Alexander, Ethan, and Peyton; a sister-in-law, Alice Lints, of Las Vegas, NV; the mother of his children, Patricia A. Holmes, of Oneida; and several nieces and nephews. Wayne was predeceased by a brother, Edward D. Lints, and a sister, Gloria (Donald) Havener; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Polisse.
Graveside services will be held at St. Agatha’s Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Family and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc., 342 Main St., Oneida.
