Dolores T. Burnett, 89, of 4602 State St., Oneida Castle, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2019, at Oneida Health Extended Care and Rehabilitation Center where she had been a patient for the past five days.
She was born on September 21, 1929, in Wilkes Barre, PA, the daughter of John and Mary Feddock. Dolores was a graduate of Larksville High School, Class of 1947.
On August 21, 1955, Dolores was united in marriage to Anthony B. “Tony” Burnett in Wilkes Barre, PA. Tony passed away on November 29, 2008.
In 1962, Dolores and Tony moved to Oneida from Wilkes Barre. Dolores was a homemaker and was a member of St. Patrick’s Church. For many years, Dolores was very involved in church activities.
Surviving are her three daughters, Michelle Burnett (Jim Dexter), of Syracuse, Lisa (Terry) Tubbs, of Oneida Castle, and Denise (Scott Farrands) Burnett, of Clifton Springs; a son, Dorr Begnal, of Milton, MA; five grandchildren, Sara Burnett-Tubbs, Mark Burnett-Tubbs (fiancé, Carla Graves), Laura Burnett-Tubbs, Krisha Burnett-Farrands, and Arian Burnett-Farrands (fiancé, Adrian Montes); and many nieces and nephews. Dolores was predeceased by her eight brothers and sisters.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at St. Patrick’s Church at 11:00 AM where the Rev. Richard J. Kapral will officiate. Interment will take place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call on Saturday prior to the service at the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc., 342 Main St., Oneida, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made in Dolores’s memory to St. Patrick’s Church Memorial Fund, 347 Main St., Oneida, NY, 13421.
