Tracy A. Cornish, 49, of 4761 E. Milestrip Rd., Canastota, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was born on December 30, 1971, in Oneida, the daughter of Janice L. Mercer and Timothy A. Jenkins. Tracy was a graduate of Oneida High School, Class of 1990. On July 20, 1997, Tracy was united in marriage to Michael C. Cornish in the First Presbyterian Church in Oneida. Tracy was a bartender for Vernon Downs for over twelve years. She was previously employed by Knotty Pine Restaurant and Colosseo’s Restaurant. Tracy was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved her extended motorcycle family. She enjoyed being near the water where she could spend time fishing and watch the sunsets. She liked concerts, camping, and cooking. She loved animals, especially her beloved dog, “Duke”. Her greatest joy in life was being a beloved “Memaw” to her ten grandchildren who were the light of her life. Surviving besides her loving husband, Michael “Cave Kitten” Cornish, her mother, Janice (James) Palmer, of Oneida, and her father, Timothy (Melody) Jenkins, of Vernon Center; six children, Heather Coonrod (fiancé, Troy Allen), of Kirkville, Michael Cornish, of Canastota, Danielle (Sara) Mennig, of Oneida, Devin (Molly) Mennig, of Oneida, Michelle Cornish (Josh Featherly), of Canastota, and Matthew Cornish, of Canastota; ten grandchildren, Kyanna Partridge, Trenten Cornish, Kevin “K2” Halsey II, Makenzi Ostrander, Dakota Allen, Marissa Allen, Noah “Bear” Featherly, and Fynnley “the Fynster” Featherly, Sierra Allen, and Taylor Allen; four sisters, TaraLynne Jenkins (Vincent St. James), of Cicero, Shannon (Patrick) Howley, of E. Syr., Ashley Jenkins, of Vernon Center, and McKayla Jenkins, of Vernon Center; her mother-in-law, Joyce Cornish, of Canastota; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a special group of friends whom she treasured. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Ironside Funeral Home, Inc., 342 Main St., Oneida. Family and friends are invited and may call prior to the service on Sunday from 12:00 PM (Noon) to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. A Celebration of Tracy’s life will take place on Sunday at 4 PM at the Canastota VFW, 3835 Canal Rd., Canastota, NY, 13032. Facial coverings no longer required for the fully vaccinated public.
